| My Quick Trip to Austin! It was beautiful in its own way. Every Picture tells a Story! My brother Gavin and my sister Lucy (aka Priz) @ Threadgill's on Riverside Drive. This is the first time we have been reunited since 1996.
Monica, Rachel, Priz, Gavin, Gail (my brother's wife) outside Threadgills
We went up South Congress and walked around during the First Thursday SOCO celebration. A knitting shop symbolizes for me the colorful weekend I was experiencing already. Rachel knits.
SOCO Alive! Yes!!
A fitting end to SOCO. Read the sign. Austin is Weird. We ate breakfast here the next day.
My sister and I at the LBJ Library/Museum on Friday.
Rachel and me.
Bunny and Josie begging!
Refrigerator collage.
On Saturday I went to the PGA Senior Tour Golf Tournament At Lakeway close to Austin with Gavin and Gail. FUN in the SUN!!

| It is late on April the 10th. Hmmmm. Late for me because I am getting up early. I am heading out of here. Yes! Below is a typewriter keyboard.. There I am to the far left TGB. Yes, those are my initials. So everytime you get on your computer you should look at those keys you press and remember two things about ME:
One, I am a writer and Two April 11th is my birthday.
If You listen closely you can hear the sound of my heart beating. It beats faster as I approach the 11th. Tomorrow think of me! Yes! Yes!!
| On Saturday I left for Waco at 11. There ~ 4 I witnessed the beautiful wedding of Robert and Stephany. It was a perfect day weather-wise. Everything glowed in the afternoon light. This special couple is off to a great start. Please click this link: Moms Xanga
Early the next morning I drove to Austin to see Rachel my oldest daughter. We were out all day. I didn't even look at books @ Book People. Instead I bought cards ($19.81). They have the best selection (really!).
Later we walked up and down SOCO (South Congress). When I lived in Austin years ago this area of town was so different. Not any more. It was great to walk and enjoy the day and be around so many people.
Late in the afternoon we did a lot of walking and looking @ Lady Bird's Wild Flower Center. Just fun!
Monday I left Austin at 8. At half-past 11 Briann and I were closing in on Mai's on Milam.
| My room, I love it. The ambiance. The hours I have spent here. For many years I did not have a room of my own. So I treasure this little nook in the world of my home. All these books surround me each with their own story. The files, the folders, the journals, the personal mail with my address on it, the candles, the CDs, DVDs hidden in the brown cabinet. The coffee cup with this morning's brew stale. What my heart has experienced here is inexpressible at times. When the computer is off and it is early the light becomes brighter.
